How we turned an ordinary family room in to a fabulous living room

From Ordinary Living Room to Stunning Media Wall: Hamlyn Terrace Transformation

Even newer homes can fall short when it comes to actually living in them. Well-designed floor plans do not always account for where the family will gather, how they will watch a movie together on a winter evening, or where the TV goes without dominating an entire wall.

That was exactly the situation for our clients in Hamlyn Terrace. Their home was well proportioned and well maintained, but the living room lacked a focal point. There was no dedicated space for entertainment, and the room felt unfinished as a result.

Our team at Cascade Building designed and built a custom media wall that solves the problem beautifully. The centrepiece is a gas-powered heater that immediately transforms the feel of the room, giving it warmth and character through every season. Surrounding it, subtle and accent LED lighting creates atmosphere you can dial up or down depending on the mood. A dedicated soundbar recess was built in to allow for clean acoustic projection without cables on show or compromises on sound.
